Holcim (Brasil) S.A. places order for the world’s largest vertical roller mill for cement

Cemengal has received an order from HOLCIM for its Barroso plant in Brazil. Cemengal the Spanish EPC leader will supply a state of the art cement grinding station. This order will place a GEBR. PFEIFFER SE’s MVR 6700 C-6 mill with a production capacity up to 450 t/h of cement. This world’s largest cement mill is an integral part of the grinding plant that will be supplied as main contractor by Cemengal to increase the capacity of the cement works located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

Cemengal as main contractor for this EP project will be in charge of the total design of all equipments but the VRM, the total structure steel supply, the process design and supply of mechanical, electrical and process control equipment, the erection supervision and the commissioning.

Overall planning will be done in close co-operation between Cemengal, Gebr. Pfeiffer SE and the customer.

With this new order, the alliance of our companies Cemengal as a main contractor and GPSE, as supplier of the most advanced VRM´s, have consolidated forces for new incoming challenges in the near future worldwide.
