New grinding unit Plug&Grind® XTREME for Cementos MELON at its new Production Plant in Punta Arenas, Southern Chile.
CEMENTOS MELON will replicate the successful experience with CEMENGAL happened through the latest mill grinding development in Puerto Montt, but this time in 2019 with the order of a new Plug&Grind® XTREME modular grinding unit that will be installed at the new industrial development site at the outskirts of Punta Arenas city, Southern Chile.
CEMENGAL will deliver the modular mill unit by the end of 2019 in order to allow the first cement and commissioning of the plant within the first months of 2020. The industrial grinding project awarded to CEMENGAL includes all the mechanical, electrical & automation equipment necessary on a modular ball mill circuit for 300,000 tonnes per annuum of capacity and a latest generation classifier for high strength cements, like the MELON Extra and MELON Especial premium products marketed by the client in Chile.
Thanks to its portability advantages, its modular configuration as well as its really short delivery time, Cementos MELON will be able to reduce the timing and cost of the overall project in order to satisfy the cement demand by the local projects by mid-2020. Other technical risks associated to the industrial projects like demurrages on logistics, site installation and construction of deep foundations will be also mitigated. The Plug&Grind® XTREME plant fits the most modern technologies for cement grinding, separation and filtration to achieve excellent performance values in terms of production capacity for ultrafine cements, reduction po power consumption and efficient recovery of dust in accordance to European environmental regulations.
This new industrial Project by Cementos MELON in Punta Arena city was announced to the local press in Chile at the end of 2018 by the CEO of Melón S.A., Mr. Jorge Eugenín Ulloa, who advanced some details of the investment and expressed the interest of the Group on the development of the Southern Regions of Chile. Cementos MELON is a private group stocked on the Chilean Market and controlled by the Peruvian BRECA Industrial Group that belongs to the holding of the BRESCIA Family. BRECA is active in industrial developments related to fishing, mining and banking markets. This new grinding plant to be installed in the Punta Arenas factory will be the industrial facility placed at the most southern latitude in the world.
Cement grinding station to Kuwait ACICO Cement consisting of a complete cement mill workshop
CEMENGAL has been awarded with a new contract for the supply of 2nd Cement grinding station to ACICO Cement consisting of a complete cement mill workshop; Main equipment to be included within this new contract is related to a 5,200 Kws ball mill fully engineered by CEMENGAL with all the peripheral equipment and a 4th generation classifier from Magotteaux XP4i-130 for high strength cements. The projected grinding capacity will be 1MTpy of cement and the plant will be commissioned within the first half of 2020.
Scope of the project will include Full Engineering and complete supply of Mechanical, Process, Electrical & Automation equipment as well as the Steel manufacturing from the raw materials handling areas up to the silos cement discharge. In addition to the delivery of technology, the site supervision, training & commissioning activities will be fully provided by CEMENGAL at the plant´s site. This is the second mill project awarded by ACICO Cement to CEMENGAL and will help our Kuwaiti client to satisfy the growing demand of high quality cements for major developments on the country´s future infrastructures.
New Plug&Grind® for Cemento Regional in El Salvador
Cemento Regional acquires a new modular and portable grinding station Plug&Grind® for its expansion to El Salvador.
The project consists of a Plug&Grind® Classic, a modular packaging and palletizing system, raw material and cement storage halls and silos for bulk dispatching.
The new unit Plug&Grind® will come out during the first semester 2019 with a production of more than 12tph.
Cemengal participated at the XXXIV FICEM Technical Congress, Guatemala 2017
From the 4th to the 6th of September Cemengal we are participating in FICEM.
The FICEM is the entity representative and promoter of the disclosing of technical, regulatory and newsworthy information about the cement industry.
The market in LATAM is booming and is very important for Cemengal to have a presence there. Today we are working in Brazil, Panama and some other LATAM country for the Plug&Grind®.
Commissioning Period for Plug&Grind®XL for Lafarge Holcim Morocco
Cemengal has finished the commissioning period of a new modular and portable grinding station Plug&Grind® XL for Lafarge Holcim in Morocco.
The project is placed in the city of Laayoune, south of Morocco.
This is the second unit of Plug&Grind® bought by Lafarge Holcim, after the Plug&Grind® Classic from Zambia.

Cemengal participated again at the Cemtech Asia, this time at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.
The conference was a success with over 200 participants, and most of them assisting to the conferences. Many cement players of the South-East Asian countries sent delegates to the conference.
Cemengal through its Sales & Marketing Manager, Moisés R. Nunez gave a speech about the advantages of the modular and portable grinding system in the case of the Indonesian market.

Cemengal has participated again at the 59 th IEEE-PCA conference and exhibition
Cemengal has participated again at the 59 th IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Conference and Exhibition that has taken place at the Telus Convention Center in Calgary, Canada (May 21st – 25th 2017)
During the conference, Cemengal has shown that the Plug&Grind patented Modular Grinding Solution, continue to be THE ONE&ONLY Installed Technology in the market.
As usual, the organization of the IEEE has been extremely good, with good networking and the opportunity to meet good old friends.
We will be participating again on next IEEE to be held in Nashville, TN (May 06th – 10th 2018)!
