The 8th Global Slag Conference & Exhibition took place successfully at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, USA on 12-13 November 2012. The 115 delegates from 26 countries heard a wide range of high-quality presentations on slag trends, performance, applications and markets and were able to speak with exhibitors in the busy exhibition area.

The 2012 edition of Cemtech Asia was held within the five-star elegance of the Hotel Mulia Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, which provided the ideal setting for over 200 senior level industry professionals from 25 countries to meet to discuss the latest cement industry developments.
Cemengal had a booth in the last Cemtech Jakarta like it has done in the last years. We also gave a conference about our new product modular grinding station Plug&Grind® with great success. After this speech we received more visits in our booth than the whole day before. The organization of the event as always was of an excellent quality.
The clients coming to this event were of an increasing interest for Cemengal and our new product: the modular and portable grinding station PLUG&GRIND®. We did contact with potential customers from Irak, Iran and surrounding countries.
The international PETROCEM conferences have been held in St. Petersburg every two years since 2000. From the very beginning the conference became the largest and most effective forum of cement industry specialists.
Cemengal participated in Petrocem 2012 in St. Petersburg (Russia) with a stand. The Petrocem is the biggest and most important conference in Russia, and for Cemengal was a great opportunity to introduce its new Plug&Grind®, modular and portable grinding station, in this country plus CIS and East European countries.
The level and numbers of participants was very high and Cemengal did a big numbers of new contacts.
Cemengal participated in the last AUCBM Conference held in Amman last November 2011.
For Cemengal was the first time in a conference in this area where we have worked in the past for Holcim Chekka in Libanon.
The conference was a success of contacts where we could improve the list of potential clients in the Middle East Area.
Moises R. Núñez publish an article in magazine INTERNATIONAL CEMENT REVIEW April 2012 about procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build the state-of-the-art grinding plant in Ghent commissioned by the company ESPABEL.
As the project’s EPC contractor, Cemengal supplied all mechanical, electrical, structural and civil engineering as well as supply and erect all electrical and mechanical equipment and the plant’s steel structure.

Cemengal has received an order from Cement Australia to supply a new greenfield cement and slag grinding plant in Port Kembla (Australia). Cemengal as main contractor for this project will be responsible for the total design of all equipments, foundations and structures. Also, the total structural supply and the process design and supply of mechanical, electrical and process control equipment.
The project will include the installation of a Gebrüder Pfeiffer MVR 6000 C6 vertical roller mill with a production capacity of 950.000 tpa cement and 150.000 tpa GGBFS.
To storage these products, Cemengal will design and supply 7 metallic silos of 3.000 tonnes each.

Cemengal has received an order from HOLCIM for its Barroso plant in Brazil. Cemengal the Spanish EPC leader will supply a state of the art cement grinding station. This order will place a GEBR. PFEIFFER SE’s MVR 6700 C-6 mill with a production capacity up to 450 t/h of cement. This world’s largest cement mill is an integral part of the grinding plant that will be supplied as main contractor by Cemengal to increase the capacity of the cement works located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.
Cemengal as main contractor for this EP project will be in charge of the total design of all equipments but the VRM, the total structure steel supply, the process design and supply of mechanical, electrical and process control equipment, the erection supervision and the commissioning.
Overall planning will be done in close co-operation between Cemengal, Gebr. Pfeiffer SE and the customer.
With this new order, the alliance of our companies Cemengal as a main contractor and GPSE, as supplier of the most advanced VRM´s, have consolidated forces for new incoming challenges in the near future worldwide.

Cemengal has participated during the last Cemtech Asia 2011 in Dubai, last February. We have installed a booth to be closer to our clients, and we have also given a speech about our Award Winning Project in Tanger (Morocco) for Lafarge. Due to this speech we received during these three conference days a numerous numbers of clients willing to contact us for future projects in their countries.
The purpose of participating again in the Dubai Cemtech, has been the introduction of our company in one of the biggest cement markets of the world with countries like Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The objective of this project is to design, supply and install a new discharge, storage, transfer and dosing system for PFA to the existing Cement Mills and Raw Mills.
PFA will be stored in 3 existing concrete silos which are to be upgraded and brought to operational conditions.
The project will start in January 2011 and be commissioned by November 2011.
Within the last five years, Cemengal’s inventory comprises more than 10 project management references, including assignments in the cement industry for complete mill stations, vertical mills, horizontal mills, concrete and metallic silos, discharging systems, cement packing machines, etc and in various geographical regions namely Europe, Africa and America.
